  Purpose

KorAHF is a multi-center registry (prospective cohort) for acute decompensated heart failure patients in Korea.

The aim of this registry is to analyze several causes affecting prognosis and survival and to develop new strategies for managing acute decompensated heart failure.

Primary Outcome Measures:
  • Mortality and Re-hospitalization of acute decompensated heart failure [ Time Frame: 5 years (tentative) ] [ Designated as safety issue: No ]
    1. In-hospital mortality
    2. Annual mortality
    3. Re-hospitalization

Estimated Study Completion Date: December 2018
Estimated Primary Completion Date: December 2013 (Final data collection date for primary outcome measure)
Groups/Cohorts
All consecutive hospitalized adult patients

All consecutive hospitalized adult patients who have 1 and (2 and/or 3)

  1. Symptom and/or sign of heart failure
  2. Lung congestion
  3. Objective finding of LV systolic dysfunction (LVEF), or structural heart disease.

Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

All consecutive hospitalized adult patients who have 1 and (2 and/or 3)

  1. Symptom and/or sign of heart failure
  2. Lung congestion
  3. Objective finding of LV systolic dysfunction (LVEF), or structural heart disease
